S-5-S clamps are highly versatile clamps that were specifically designed for popular snap-together standing seam profiles. They offer several advantages and features that make them a preferred choice in certain applications.
One of the key benefits of the S-5-S clamps is their ability to eliminate the need for crimp-seaming profiles like Firestone UC4 and New Tech Machinery SS550 and SS675. This can save time and effort during installation.
Additionally, the S-5-S clamps can accommodate horizontal seams with a horizontal projection of under 0.54 inches without requiring double folding of the seam. This flexibility allows for easier installation and adjustment.
The strength and versatility of the S-5-S clamps make them suitable for use with heavy-duty applications, including S-5!® snow retention products like ColorGard. This means that they can securely hold snow retention systems and other demanding attachments.
The S-5-S clamp package typically includes two 3/8″x24 x 0.80″ round nose set screws and one M8-1.25 x 16mm Hex Flange Bolt. All of the included hardware is made of stainless steel, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. The clamp itself is bronze coated.
