S-5! X-Gard System Components
Lasting Quality
The X-Gard brackets, as well as the attachment clamps, are precision-machined, high-tensile, aircraft-quality aluminum, not cast or plastic. All related hardware is non-ferrous stainless steel for lasting performance.
X-Gard has greater holding strength, better aesthetics, and longer service life than any other engineered pipe system on the market. Like the S-5! ColorGard and SnoRail/SnoFence snow rentention systems, pound-for-pound, X-Gard provides better holding strength than individual cleats.
X-Gard attachment clamps have been tested for load-to-failure results on most major metal roof brands and profiles. The independent lab test data can be used for load-critical designs and applications.

Finish Options: X-Gard is designed to preserve the coveted aesthetics of the metal roof. Based upon project needs, X-Gard can be painted, powder coated, or anodized as chosen by the customer. We can provide pricing for power-coated systems; please contact us for information and pricing.
Versatility in Pipe Snow Retention: X-Gard can be purchased as a one or two-pipe system, using mini or regular S-5! clamps, depending on project specifics including pitch and snow load.
The single and double-pipe options can also be paired with a locally-purchased 1.9″ o.d. round pipe (supplied by third-party), or, for superior holding strength, X-Gard can be paired with the NEX 2.0 pipe.
X-Gard 1.0 Bracket
The X-Gard 1.0 Bracket is designed for a one-pipe system and is mounted to the roof using one (1) S-5-! mini clamp or regular clamp, depending on loading requirements.
Can be used with either NEX 2.0 pipe, or locally sourced 1.9″ o.d. aluminum pipe.

X-Gard 2.0 Bracket
The X-Gard 2.0 Bracket is designed for a two-pipe system and is mounted to the roof using two (2) S-5! mini clamps or regular clamps, depending on loading requirements.
Can be used with either NEX 2.0 pipe, or locally sourced 1.9″ o.d. aluminum pipe.

NEX 2.0 Pipe
An amazing strong tube, the NEX 2.0 pipe was designed to meet the highighest snow loads out there.
The NEX 2.0 pipe can be used with both the X-Gard 1.0 and X-Gard 2.0 bracket for superior snow retention holding power.
X-Clip II & X-Clip III
X-Clip II (X-CLip II shown) or X-Clip III are optional components that can be added to your X-Gard 1.0 or X-Gard 2.0 snow retention system to further retard the migration of snow. X-Clip has a special integrated rubber “foot” to prevent abrasion of the panel’s finish. It rests on the back of the pipe and extends down to the flat of the roofing panel.
Each X-Clip II or X-Clip III is secured to the NEX 2.0 pipe using the provided stainless steel self-drilling screw.
X-Gard Endcap
The X-Gard Endcap is manfactured from a durable UV resistant black vinyl material that fits snugly over the end of the NEX 2.0 pipe and keeps rain, vermin and other debris out of the end of the pipe.
S-5! Mini or Regular Seam Clamps
The most critical part of any snow retention assembly is the clamp that attaches the assembly to the roof panel seams.
In most cases, the S-5! mini seam clamps will perform these duties admirably. In some cases where extreme snow loads are encountered, it may be neccessary to use the regular S-5! seam clamp.
